SUMMER and happy birthday Mum!

Yesterday was my last GCSE, so I am now officially on my summer holidays! Which is so so so exciting. I have not been this excited and happy to be on summer holiday since I was about five years old. After my final exam (maths calculator - ew) I went to The Bluebird for lunch with some friends and then browsed along King's Road. This was really cute and fun and luckily the sun decided to grace us with it's presence. 

As well as it being the start of my summer it was also my mum's birthday, (and my true love's Kevin McHale) so after lunch I met my parents in town and we went to the theatre.

Merrily We Roll Along - I thought this production was absolutely fantastic. None of the cast was weak, incredible voices and of course you can never go wrong with Sondheim. A very strong and clever story with what I see as an important message. I've been singing the songs all day. I would highly recommend if you get a chance to go see it for a fun night out.

Exams Have Commenced

My GCSEs have finally began with Physics on Tuesday, and now I never have to do Physics ever again (unless I fail and have to retake but hopefully that won't happen.) So of course I am fairly stressed to say the least about these exams but I am trying to stay calm. I have found that online shopping really does help to calm the nerves. But I am being careful with what I purchase as I hope to do a lot of shopping when I'm in New York. Just purchased this beauty -

Revision Break

Hola!
Just a quick post today, as I am meant to be revising. Just thought I'd share what I bought last week when shopping with my friend Saskia, and yesterday when I was in Westfield shopping centre performing with my performing arts school. Nothing too major as I'm going to New York as soon as my exams finish (yay) and will be doing a lot of shopping when I'm there. 

From shopping with Saskia - both from Topshop, short sleeved white shirt, longer at the back so perfect to wear with leggings. Black high waster bikini bottoms, so happy I finally got them, have wanted them for ages!

Cute little thin t-shirt material grey day dress, perfect for holiday over a bikini. Or in the winter with a jacket, tights and boots. Also from Topshop.

This week we've also had my brother's French exchange, Lucien, staying with us. Tonight we're going to the London eye so I'll try and post a few picture about that when I have a moment.

The Happening Palette

You may or may not know that GCSEs start in under two weeks (oh god), and that is the reason why I have not been posting too much. However when I finish my GCSEs on the 14th of June, probably the longest summer I will ever have begins. I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing over the summer but I will be blogging about it all (and possibly vlogging). So stay tuned! 

Today I thought I'd do just a quick post on one of my most recent purchases from Nars - The Happening Palette! 

The blush of the left is coralie and quite subtle, which I really like as I don't like blush to be too strong and harsh, particularly on myself. 

The bronzer on the right is really nice for a natural little bit of colour. However, personally I prefer the Mac bronzer that has a little bit of glitter in it.

The light eye shadow on the top left is nice to cover the whole eye right up to the brow bone to wear with just liquid eyeliner, or on the inside corner for a smokey eye.

The purple eye shadow on the bottom left is nice for a fairly light smokey eye or lightly over the whole eye up to the crease for a lazy make up day.

The light brown on the top right is also good for the whole eye up to the crease on a lazy make up day.

Finally the dark brown on the bottom right is good for under the eye with a subtle smokey eye as it is less harsh than black. 

Just a quick little review, not the best.

Easter Update

Hola mis amigos de internet!

Just a quick update...
So, I am extremely stressed and overwhelmed with the amount of work I have to do this holiday. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, and although I'm sure my summer holidays will be lovely I don't have the same excitement that many of my friends do in looking forward to it. Which is not helping my lack of motivation. I must say that for the Easter holidays I am very unhappy bunny. I am trying to occupy and surround myself with positive things and people, though if I'm honest I am feeling fairly alone. Which is not the best thing to feel. I am in no position to be giving advice on staying calm with work and other things as I myself have no idea how to deal with it. However, Sun Beams Jess did do a blog post about dealing with stress that I think is quite good. Just remember to appreciate the simple pleasures in life. I know that sometimes it's difficult to notice them but it's ok. Everything is going to be just fine. I realise I do sound fairly ridiculous, but writing this post is fairly therapeutic.
